St. Michael's Orthodox Church welcomes you!
We are an historic parish in the heart of Scranton, Pennsylvania. We hope that you will come to visit us and share the ancient worship of the Orthodox Church. You are welcome to attend the Divine Liturgy of John Chrysostom which we celebrate Sundays at 9:00 AM.
The Orthodox Church is evangelical, but not Protestant. It’s orthodox, but not Jewish. It’s catholic, but not Roman. It isn’t non-denominational – it’s pre-denominational. It has believed, taught, preserved, defended and died for the Faith of the Apostles since the day of Pentecost 2000 years ago
All are welcome!

The Troparion for the Feast of Saint Michael the Archangel
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in this day of battle.
Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do you, O prince of the heavenly host, by the divine power of God, cast into Hell
Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
